It is with great satisfaction and delight that Citizens for Personal Rapid Transit announces the completion by Taxi 2000 of its prototype Personal Rapid Transit model. Taxi 2000 Corporation is hosting a Press Conference at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2003, at its headquarters, 8050 University Avenue, Fridley, Minnesota.

Speakers at the Press Conference will include J. Edward Anderson, CEO of Taxi 2000 Corporation and architect of the model, and State Representative Mark Olson, along with other key supporters.

Taxi 2000’s innovative design features have now moved from the theoretical to the practical. The vehicle and 60-foot length of guideway have been rigorously tested and are ready for the public to inspect. This is a prime opportunity to learn about the advantages offered by Personal Rapid Transit and to receive individual answers to your questions about how this revolutionary mode of public transportation will improve the quality of life for all members of our community.

Citizens for Personal Rapid Transit will be encouraging all members of the community to contact Taxi 2000 and make an appointment to view and ride the prototype in the coming months.
