Many viewers who saw the Goat Simulator 3 trailer were confused at the name. However, don’t worry, you didn’t miss Goat Simulator 2 because it doesn’t exist. The name is just some zany marketing on Coffee Stain’s part.
Goat Simulator 3 will release on PC as an Epic Game Store exclusive, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S sometime this fall. It introduces a new sandbox island called San Angora. There’ll be mini-games, quests, and secrets. However, the main attraction here is the crazy physics and fun with friends, and fortunately that’ll be here in spades. Up to four players can enter a co-op session either locally or online.
The press release also highlights some of the customization options:
“Players can fully customise their goat’s Head, Back, Feet, Body, Horns and Furs with over 300 different gear parts to choose from – from toilet rolls to tea trays… and other actual clothing items, if you want to be like that. Some gear parts will mutate your playstyle by giving you new abilities, all will alter your perceived sense of style.”
Goat Simulator was incredibly successful for a game that started as an April Fool’s joke, and has sold millions of copies across a multitude of platforms.
